As Master in Environmental Engineering, Mathias started his career as technical sales engineer for industrial gas, air, and water purification solutions. The highly technical, solution-driven sales approach at Desotec enabled Mathias to gain expert insights in customer acquisition throughout different European countries, as well as collect insights on B2B long-term sales & buying cycles, sales management and enablement.
After half a decade in sales engineering and management, Mathias created the Business Development department to leverage and increase the success of the sales department at Desotec. This covers strategy development and rollout, product and application innovations, market intelligence and corporate communications. Next to this, the design, setup and integration of digitisation efforts such as Showpad as the Sales Enablement platform, and Salesforce as new CRM system, were successfully initiated and led by Mathias, alongside Desotec’s CCO.
Mathias is keen to share experiences on successful sales and marketing projects, and strives to find synergies in best practices across industries and companies in order to reinvent and improve the customer lifetime value.
